It has been over 40 years since God gave Psalm 91 to me in a dream. He quoted directly out of the ninety-first psalm in my dream. I was in an open field and began rejoicing with all my heart. Suddenly, the field began filling with people who were joining me in praising God for those promises. Finally, as far as I could see in every direction, people were thanking God for what had been revealed. I didn’t know at the time what that dream meant, but it soon became apparent that God was offering an added protection for the end times. Just before the towers fell in New York City in 2001, God spoke to me to put what He had revealed to me about this covenant in book form. God supernaturally helped me, and Psalm 91 God’s Umbrella of Protection quickly passed the million-copy mark.
I was confused why that covenant had never been widely proclaimed before. The Lord took me to 1 Peter 1:5 where He is letting us know that certain protections from God were waiting to be revealed in the end days. We have entered into the end of the end times as the enemy has begun to wage war like never before. We are living in the times for which His Psalm 91 covenant had been given. As worldwide pandemics begin coming on the earth, our real protection is going to be this covenant written specifically for these last days and it rests on our part in verses 1 and 2. We are told to abide in His shelter under His wings of protection. Now is the era when God’s people will make decisions whether or not they will receive the protection available. God reminded me that it is the same as what Rahab in Jericho chose to do with her obedience to God. She was told by Joshua’s spies that her only hope was to trust in the God of Israel’s protection. Any break in their agreement would have put her in enemy territory. And, Rahab was given the opportunity to invite those of her family who would choose to come under that covenant of safety. God has offered His covenant of protection to us. Those who will trust and obey, and stay in His shelter have been given the same privilege as Rahab to take our family with us. Not everyone will accept this offer of protection from our Father to navigate through these end days and fulfill their callings. For those of us who do choose to grab hold of God’s protection covenant and refuse to turn loose, that Psalm 91 protection will cover us through whatever we might be facing. The choice is ours. The time spoken of in Scripture has come. -Peggy Joyce Ruth
