Psalm 91 - For Good Times and Bad Times

It is easy to quote our protection promises when things are going well, but when someone gets a bad report or when danger rears its ugly head, too often it is easy to forget our covenant and run to our reasoning and lay down the very thing God gave to us for the tough times. Psalm 91 for our day of trouble. I cannot tell you how often I have talked to people who are very familiar with Psalm 91, but when they suddenly encounter a sickness, crisis, or some other attack of the enemy, they temporarily forget all about their covenant promises.

This is a tremendous time to trust God and His Word. It's time to refuse fear, and instead, be thankful to Him for the supernatural answer He gave. I still get excited that Psalm 91 is filled with promises from God Himself, and God cannot lie. However, this is so important—this covenant only works for the ones who take these promises and choose to believe them, declare them in faith and determine not to allow sight and circumstances to take precedence over God's word. You will be surprised how fast this process begins to work.

Though a Thousand May Fall - Psalm 91

What an awesome statement! God wants us to know that even though there will be a thousand falling by our side and ten thousand at our right hand, it does not negate the promise that destruction will not approach the one who chooses to believe and trust His Word. The Amplified Bible says, “...it shall not approach you for any purpose” He means exactly what He says.
